10 thousand hours of success rule

10 thousand hours of success rule

Many different studies are being made that address the fundamental resources of success in our business life, or in school life. Employees in this field are trying to put a formula into success.

The formula of success (if present), if it can be revealed, this is not only in the individual sense, if Systems can is managed to guarantee success in the social sense.

Formula for success

For some success, it reveals as a single gold formula to work, Kimi only talent.
So, are the talents coming from birth or are they being won later?

Psychologists on all sides of the world are arguing in a heated way that most of us have been answered many years ago, asking…

The question is: Is there a natural talent?

Answer on: Yes…

For example, not everyone can have a very nice voice, or at a high level of IQ.
Again, those who are prone to handicrafts and those who are no will immediately know themselves.

Well, is a talent for success in any business alone enough?
Isn’t the answer simple?
No…

The ability to succeed and work (or preparation) is called to need a combination.

When psychologists look closely at the careers of superior intelligence, they see that the role played by birth talent is so small and that the role of preparation is so great.

Research on talented people

In the early 1990s, two of his friends from psychologist Anders Ericsson and the Distinguished Academy of Music in Berlin are doing research to investigate the relationship between talent, work and success.

They divide the violinist at the academy into three groups. The stars in the first group; It is composed of students with the potential to become a world-class solo violinist. The second group is just “good”. In the third group, they are not expected to play the violins professionally, but they are students who are intending to become music teachers within the educational system.

In the second phase of the research, all violinist have the same question: how many hours did you practice during your entire career, starting from the moment you first took the violin?

At the end of the research, the grouping performed according to the success of the violinist shows great parallels with the total working hours in the same way. At the age of 20, one of the very best performers (first group) is determined to reach a total of 10,000 hours of practice. Only the good students have practised for 8,000 hours.  The music teachers of the future in the third group are calculating that they are only slightly over four thousand hours.

Ericsson and his friends perform the same work for pianists. In the study between amateur and professional pianists, they compare professional pianists with amateur pianists and come out with the same model.

Amateurs have neverpractised more than three hours a week during their childhood, and when they were 20 years old, they practised for a total of two thousand hours. Whereas professionals continuously increase their practice every year, and when they are 20, they reach 10,000 hours, just likea violinist.

The study of the researchers shows that if a student is capable of getting into one of the best music schools, he’s working hard to distinguish his performance from another. That’s it.

Moreover, people at the summit are not only working more but even more than anyone else.

He works so much more.

How long is the brain getting ready for success?

Neurologist Daniel Levitin:

“The table that emerged from such studies suggests that 10,000 hours of practice should be applied to achieve the level of mastery in any field – a world-class expert.

Composers, basketball players, fiction writers, ice skaters, concert pianists, chess players and others, this number is repeated in a succession of studies.

Undoubtedly, this does not explain why some of them have done more than others in their practice. Yet no one has ever encountered a case where real world-class expertise has been captured in a shorter time. It seems that it takes so long for the brain to fuse with what it needs to know to achieve real expertise. ”
